The Right Bet exists because our community deserves a dedicated, confidential resource for gambling addiction, and because silence was never the answer.
We believe recovery begins when communities talk openly, resources become accessible, and individuals know they're not alone.
The Right Bet is a community awareness and clinical coordination initiative created by Kosher Debt Help and brought to life by Collective Kindness. We exist to fill a gap that has gone unaddressed for far too long.
While organizations exist for drug and alcohol addiction, sexual abuse, and other critical issues, there has never been a dedicated, community-specific resource for gambling addiction. The Right Bet changes that, serving as a one-stop address for anyone affected by gambling, whether they need full clinical intervention or simply guidance and a referral.
We bring forward authentic stories from our community, create spaces for honest conversation, and connect people with trusted resources. Our approach is rooted in dignity, confidentiality, and the belief that every person deserves a clear path from crisis to recovery.
Mrs. Joan Goodman was a beacon of light, hope, and goodness. She was orphaned at a young age, yet never let it stop her from accomplishing her dreams. She had a 71-year marriage to Grandpa Jimmy that was rooted in deep respect.
Her passing occurred on the same day as the unofficial launch of The Right Bet, and we felt it fitting that her legacy be attached to this noble cause.
May the healing and blessings that flow from The Right Bet accrue much merit to Mrs. Joan Goodman.
